A professional survey of your library is the vital start to the planning
of your removal. David Taylor will visit you at a mutually agreeable time to do this and discuss your individual requirements.
A written quotation will be submitted for your approval, then we can go ahead with planning dates.
Typically, the move will last a week or two depending on size, but our primary aim is to complete the work
within your stated schedule. We've achieved this every time so far, so please challenge us even if you have a tight programme.
We have developed our own foolproof (!) system for sequential packing and unpacking of book stock:
Either directly following their existing layout, extracting sections to different areas, or interfiling
back an errant section.
This is the core skill we can offer that others will struggle with.
We fully expect you to want to verify this and that can be arranged.
Shelving can either be moved with the stock and rebuilt by our staff, taken elsewhere if you wish, or even
disposed of (we have the relevant licence).
Furniture also can be moved of course, but we realise that moving library mainly means new shelving and
furniture all round. Treating such new fittings with respect is also part of our job.
Flooring will typically be covered with hardboard sheeting for protection. Such sheeting and all crates
and equipment used will be extracted from your premises immediately the move is completed leaving you free to proceed with
the next step.
Obviously moving a library is no small undertaking, so we would appreciate the chance to plan well in advance
by you contacting us sooner rather than later.
